Made it here in one piece, my brain is still slightly splintered and somewhat hangover, but the breeze is helping, and we're just gonna ease it up before hitting the stage at 7PM. Then, all he'll breaks loose, even though we're not that kinda band.
I suspect that what allows any creative endeavor to be considered a form of art, is the two step process of first:
Being immersed in it. Where you toil the land, work the ground, to understand and apply your techniques and knowledge in creating something for a purpose. And second: The knowledge that comes from stepping back from a micro view into a marco view. To acquire the knowledge that converts into wisdom, to be able to 'see' how your art work, fits into the grand canvas of an art filled world constantly in flux. It is a two step process that exists as a cycle, one constantly leading into the next step, birthing something new in the process. You can't have one without the other. This is of course, purely suspicion. We had rehearsal yesterday in preparation for a bunch of gigs we got lined up for the month of September. So it's been awhile, because we're lazy bastards, but we still managed to work on a song that we wrote about a month back. It's called "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" until someone decides otherwise. But I think we're pretty much set on it. Here it is for your listening pleasure:
Also, here's a little something of Thomas, whom I shall dub 'The Wunderkind' from now on, because he's just that good. Seriously, this rockstar's got a soul patch burned into his heart! So yes, Chunkfest is confirmed, check out the 'GIGS!' page for more details! And before we forget, you can catch LEESON on your telly! Just tune in to Channel NewsAsia tomorrow, Wednesday, 1 September 2010 at 8:30PM for a show called 'Millennials'. There's also a repeat at 11:30PM. CHEKKIT.At a mamak stall at South Buena Vista road we've dubbed, 'Johor', because it reminds us of the chillax nights in M'sia.
Rehearsing for possible Chunk Fest gig this Saturday. To vote us to play, check out www.chunkfest.com!!
